Since COVID hit, I've been doing a lot of thinking about my art business and the direction I want to go in. Before it was easy to do a pop-up show around the city, or even out of town, but now big shows and crowds are a no-no. In response, I have to be even more creative with my approach and operate out of the box. Honestly, it's a little humbling taking a step back to find new ways to showcase my work and to create new ways to experience it.
I've come to the conclusion that I'll scrap the whole thing and start over.

Hi, my name is Bri Simpson.
I am a visual artist and writer. My artwork is acrylic- based on canvas and centers around themes of femininity and nature, with a hint of surrealism. I have a thing for bright colors and clouds, that's kind of my signature. My writing is more reflective and poetic. I don’t showcase it as much as I should (But I'm working on new projects that will change that. More on that later. 😉 )
We most likely met either at some networking event or an art/cultural event over the years. If the memory of this is fuzzy, no worries since we’re reconnecting now.
I have a few collections I want to release before the year is out. I'll be using this blogspace as a more intimate look at my art making practice. It's a way to connect with anyone who doesn't particularly like social media accounts (though if you do, connect with me on Facebook or Instagram) as well as to share more information out about my business.
You can always expect a post to cover:
👩🏽🎨 Updates about my current projects
👩🏽💻 Videos of me in my home studio
🎁 Exclusives shop items and codes
If you've read this far into the post, I appreciate you. So here's a code to use for my shop. Enter "blog" at checkout to get 15% off your entire purchase. Shop here today.
And that's it. That's the post.
